          Even more than seven years after his retirement, Polish Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz is still very much present in his home diocese of Krakow.

          Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz worked side by side with Pope John Paul II for almost forty years, enjoying unique access to both the public and private man.

          On Tuesday evening, he preached in a firm voice for 15 minutes at a mass in honour of St. Adalbert in the Adalbert Church on the market square. At the reception afterwards, the parish priest wished him all the best for his 85th birthday.
